At Divine Family Wellness, the patient comes first. As our name indicates, we are driven by faith and compassion. During your appointment, we will listen to your concerns and carefully determine your treatment path.

Meet Our Providers!
Ashley Ozbirn, CRNP
Ashley was born and raised in Haleyville, AL and graduated from Haleyville High School in 2006. She began her nursing journey at Northwest Shoals Community College and graduated with an ADN degree in 2009. She then started her nursing career at Lakeland Community Hospital, working on the Medical-Surgical floor. Once completing her BSN from North Alabama in 2011, she began her studies at the University of Alabama at Birmingham, and graduated with an MSN degree specializing as a Family Nurse Practitioner in 2012. Ashley’s professional career began in February of 2013 with Dr. Kevin Kelly at Urgent Care in Russellville. Dr. Kelly was integral to the development of Ashley’s career and she credits him with molding her into the provider she is today, for which she is truly grateful.
Ashley had a vision and established Divine Family Wellness in January of 2021. The practice was expanded and Urgent Care was added in March of 2024.
Ashley has been married to her husband, Johnathon, since 2011. They have 2 amazing boys, Jon Michael and Brantley. She is a member of Fulton Bridge Baptist Church in Hamilton, where she is very active in the children’s ministry and is on the praise team. She enjoys doing crafts with her kids, shopping, traveling, trying new foods, and watching movies.
Christy Engle, CRNP
Christy is a Hamilton native and has been a nurse since 2006. She worked at Hamilton ER for 12 years. She received her Associate’s Degree in Nursing from Bevill State Community College in 2006. In May of 2020, she obtained her Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing and her Master’s Degree in Nursing in July of 2022, both from UNA. She has worked at Helen Keller ER since 2023 and has been part of the Divine family since October of 2023. Christy is our full-time NP on Urgent Care.
Christy has 2 children, Mason and Maddie. In her spare time, she enjoys going to the gym and spending time with friends and family.
Mechelle Alexander, CRNP
Mechelle is a Hamilton native. She is married to Doug, and they have 3 children and 4 grandchildren. Mechelle graduated with her LPN degree in 1990 from Hamilton trade school. She then obtained her RN degree from Bevill in 2006 and her Family Nurse Practitioner degree in 2013 from Samford University. Her NP career includes working at Orthosports Medicine, Hamilton Primary Clinic, Winfield Internal Medicine, and Enhabit Hospice. Mechelle has been part of our team since July 2024.
Mechelle loves the Lord and enjoys going to church, reading, and spending time with her family. She has such a sweet spirit and a love for taking care of people.
Tanya Brasher, DNP, CRNP
Tanya has been a Board Certified Family Nurse Practitioner since 2019. She obtained her Bachelor’s in Nursing degree from UNA and a Post-Master’s Family Nurse Practitioner degree from Troy University.
Tanya has worked in many different areas during her career including urgent care, long term care, hospital and nursing home administration, as well as health care quality and accreditation.
Since 2017, Tanya has worked as a Program Manager for an RN to BSN program and a Nurse Practitioner Graduate Nursing Program. She obtained her Doctorate of Nursing Practice degree from UAB and has a Master’s in Nursing Executive Leadership from UAH. She is also a licensed Nursing Home Administrator for the state of Alabama.
Tanya was born and raised in Hamilton, Alabama. She is married to Matt Brasher and has 1 daughter, Mollie. Tanya looks forward to caring for you and your family!
Stephanie Oliver, DNP, CRNP
Stephanie is a 1991 graduate of Russellville High School. She graduated from Northwest Shoals Community College Associate Degree Nursing program in 1996, the University of North Alabama BSN program in December 1999, the University of Alabama in Huntsville MSN program in 2001, the University of Alabama in Huntsville Post-MSN Teaching Certification program in May 2007, the University of Alabama in Huntsville DNP program in 2011, and recently from the University of North Alabama Family Nurse Practitioner program in 2023.
Stephanie has clinical experience in medical-surgical, post-operative, cardiac, post-partum, and LTC nursing, as well as 6 years as a Nursing Instructor and 12 years in Career Technical as a Health Science teacher.
Outside of work, Stephanie enjoys spending time with her family, pets, and friends. She has been married to Chad Oliver since 2002, and has three daughters, two attending UNA and one who graduated from the University of Alabama in 2019. She also has seven dogs and one cat. Stephanie is looking forward to serving in Hamilton!
Rebecca Stewart, DNP, CRNP
Rebecca graduated from Phil Campbell High School and has been a nurse since 2005. She obtained her RN degree from Northwest Shoals Community College and then went on to obtain her Master’s in Nursing Education from the University of North Alabama in 2015. She has experience in Women’s Health, Medical-Surgical, Community Health, and Nursing Education. She has been a full-time nursing instructor at NWSCC since 2016. She received her Post-Master’s with a focus on Family Practice Nurse Practitioner in May of 2024 and went on to obtain her Doctoral Degree in Nursing Practice in December 2024. Rebecca is married to Jeremy, and they have 3 girls. In her spare time, she enjoys going to church, cattle farming, camping, fishing, hunting, and spending time with her family. She is passionate about her work and is a joy to be around. Her love for the Lord shows in everything she does.
